In 2018, Conte-Cardillo family, whose name “Cardillu” means “Goldfinch” in Italian, began a heartfelt journey of recreating and sharing our cherished recipes from our home in the Cotswolds. This culinary celebration blends the rich traditions of our Italian heritage with the exceptional local produce of the Cotswolds, aiming to capture the vibrant and authentic flavours of Italy—creating food that truly SINGS of Italy!
Our Grandmother, Nonna Pippi, recommends serving her slow-cooked Tomato sauce gently heated in a little olive oil then stirred through any pasta shape. It’s delicious sprinkled with goats’ cheese or Parmesan shavings, with a crisp, green leaf salad on the side.
